As a nation of TV addicts our need for our favourite channels doesn't disappear the minute we hit the open road! The digital switchover has taken place in most areas now though the coverage in the more rural areas can leave a little to be desired. With this in mind satellite TV is proving one of our most popular areas.
So, what do you need to consider when choosing the best antenna for yourself?
This selection will be a compromise based on where you want to go, what you want to watch when you arrive and how much you want to spend?
All our satellite antennae will receive the Astra 2 South beam across most of Western Europe, giving access to BBC News, Sky News and CNN as well as plenty of European channels, though for most of us the main one to be concerned with is the Astra 2d beam. This carries BBC1,2,3,4, ITV1,2,3,Channel4, E4, Radio 1,2,3 etc. and the Sky Sports channels.
The entry level options are provided by the crank-up antennas, the Flat-Sat and the Flat-Sat plus (for wider European coverage). These antennas will offer as good a quality picture as any of the others types; they simply require a manual set up. This is typically a 2-3 minute job.
Domes are our most popular option. There's no unfolding process or dish to catch the wind on the roof. The TracVision range from KVH comes with their fantastic marine pedigree with great coverage and prices to match. The domes also offer the "in-motion" option that you just can't have with a dish.

The folding dish becomes a consideration for those travelers going a little further afield. For those venturing a little further into Spain our top of the range Kathrein CAP 900 will pick up the Astra 2d as far as Almeria and even into Portugal!!
